Download the Crowd Control App
All of Crowd Control's tools live within our Windows Desktop App (we do not have support for Mac or Linux systems). Click Here to Download Crowd Control
There is no need to create multiple Crowd Control accounts—everything will live on just one.

Set your Crowd Control Username
Your username will be used to create your Crowd Control Interact Link. This is where your community can send effects using Coins, purchased using Stripe or PayPal.
Install the Twitch Extension
In addition to your Interact Link, viewers can also send effects from the Crowd Control Twitch Extension. There, Coins are exchanged for using Twitch Bits.

Next Steps
Crowd Control has integrated support for over 250+ titles across Retro, PC, and even Tabletop games. Which one will you start with?
In the navigation sidebar, select the Game Library. You can filter our list of games by type of integration, platform, and more.
Once you've selected a game, head to the next step.
Prepare your game for Crowd Control
Once you've selected a game, you will be sent back to the Live page of the app. You'll notice various setup requirements on the side: don't worry! Each game comes with a step-by-step Setup Guide, and, in most cases, setup is as simple as clicking a button.
You may be asked to select the folder containing the game's .exe file, or maybe to select a rom. Afterwards, you may need to install a Mod or Emulator to play your game. Once everything is lit up green or labeled with a checkmark you will have finished connecting Crowd Control to your game!
At this point, you could technically begin using Crowd Control with your commnity! BUT, we suggest you take a look at yyour game's available interactions. Customizing your effects to fit your community is very important for keeping them engaged.
Before heading into the Effect Manager, let's take a look at Crowd Control Disrupts.
Crowd Control Disrupts are viewer interactions that appear on your screen or affect things outside of games. Examples include jumpscares, interactive puzzles, games of chance, etc.
Select the Disrupts page in the navigation sidebar. On your first entry, you will be prompted to set up the Disrupts Monitor Overlay. If you need to access this menu again, just click the information icon near the top of the page.
First, you will be asked to select which monitor you want to see your Disrupts on. Next, you can test the overlay to be sure it is working. Follow the next few steps to get them displayed inside of your streaming software. The in-app guide will walk you through one thing at a time, with videos included for guidance.
Once you've completed setup, head back to the Disrupts page of the app.
About Disrupt Packs
The Crowd Control Team has created a few theme-based Disrupt Packs for you to use!
Hover over a Disrupt Pack and click the edit button to view the interactions. Each disrupt is toggleable, and can be previewed with the play button on the right-hand side of the page.
An Important Note: when first using Disrupts, it may take them a minute to load! If you hit play and nothing is happening, give your internet a moment to fully load the file. Once they have been played once and cached, their performance should be instant.
We will go over each setting within this Disrupt Pack in Part 3 of this setup. For now, did you know you can even create your own Disrupts?
Click "Create New" in the top-right of the Disrupts page. This will create a new Disrupt pack for you to populate with your own memes, sounds, jumpscares, bot interactions and more!
Click "Add New" to open the Disrupts Editor. There are many different types of Disrupts, with more always in the works by our development team. Each type comes with a host of customization options for you to explore!
Once you've created all your disrupts, you can head back to the Disrupts page.
Enabling Disrupt Packs
Once you've decided which disrupt packs you're interested in, simply click the switch to enable them! This will add each pack's active disrupts to your list of interactions.
You can also enable and disable disrupt packs from the Live page.
Customizing your Interactions
Open up the Effect Manager
On the Live page of the app, you can find the Effect Manager button near the bottom.
The effect manager contains all of your available interactions along with their Price (in Coins), Duration, Price Scaling Rate & Duration, and both Global or Individual Cooldowns.
Your enabled disrupts will also be here: any customization your make to them here will be specific to the game you currently have selected. To set default settings for each disrupt, edit them from the Disrupts page of the app.
You'll notice a few options in the sidebar as well. These are your Effect Sources. Effects can be sent from your Interact Link or Twitch Extension, via Twitch or TikTok Events, and more. We will cover this later.

Pricing
100 Coins = 1 USD. Every community uses Crowd Control a bit differently. Based on your community size chosen during onboarding, we may have set your default prices differently. Still, it is highly recommended you go through the effect list and consider how your community will like to use each effect, or whether or not you like that effect.
Generally, folks price up negative effects like Kill Player, while leaving positive effects like Heal Player a bit lower.
Your viewers can also pool their coins together to trigger an effect, if you've not disabled it, and effects can also be reserved for Paid Coins only (Coins exchanged for using Bits, Stripe, or PayPal). These settings are found under the effect's settings cog on the right.

Duration
Some effects, like Inverted Controls or Player Size, are timed! These can be adjusted by Crowd Control Pro or Max Users.

Price Scaling Rate
Price scaling increases the cost of an effect when it is triggered. An effect set to 100% scaling will double in cost for each purchase.

Price Scaling Duration
Of course, you likely don't want your effects prices to be permanently increased! A 5 Minute Scaling Duration means an effect's price will gradually return to normal over 5 minutes.

Global Cooldown
Global Cooldown is simply the time all users must wait to send an effect a second time. This is great for effects you don't want being sent too often.

About Effect Add-Ons, Settings, and Integrations
Outside the main effect properties, each effect has a settings button on the right side of the Effect Manager.
A shortcut to settings that you've enabled will be displayed in the title bar of each effect. If you've enabled any integrations, their logos will also be here. Click them to create dynamic effects!
Sound Effects
Sound effects you've enabled will play when the effect is sent. You can upload multiple sounds for random variation, select from previously uploaded sounds, and limit how often the sound can activate.
If you've already explored the rest of the app and have enabled a Global Effect notifcation, you can also disable it here.
"Paid Only" Effects
If you would prefer effects not be accessible with Free Coins, you can set them to Paid Coins Only. Paid coins include those exchanged from Twitch Bits, purchased using Stripe or PayPal, or in exchange for a donation to charity.
In your Interact Link, Paid Only effects will be highlighted using a separate color.
Effect Pooling
By default, your viewers can pool their coins together to trigger effects. Should you wish to disable this for any given effect, you can disable them here.
If you want to disable pooling entirely, try selecting every effect using Ctrl + A, or selecting multiple effects using Ctrl + Click, or Ctrl + Shift. Settings changed will apply to every currently selected effect.
Attached Effects
When you attach a set of effects to an effect like, "Spawn Dragon," Spawn Dragon, when triggered, will then also trigger a random effect from your selected set.
Imagine you're planning a Minecraft Crowd Control Stream. When a Wither is spawned in, you also want to dig a hole beneath the player and trigger a random jumpscare disrupt.
Under Spawn Wither, you would add in Set 1 the "Dig Hole" effect. In Set 2, you would select whichever jumpscares you prefer.
Effects with attachments do not change in price.
Binding Effects to Twitch Channel Rewards
Under the Channel Rewards menu of the Effect Manager, you can create custom Twitch Channel Rewards that send Crowd Control effects.
For free you can set up 3, with Pro 12, and with Max up to 50
(Twitch limits users to 50 channel rewards. If you have met the limit, Crowd Control will be unable to add the effect to your list).
Binding Effects to Twitch Events
In addition to Channel Rewards, Max users are able to bind effects to other Twitch Events like subs, gift subs, raids, and follows!
You can modify the sub tiers, amount of gifts, or raiding viewers needed for the effect to trigger. Set as many as you'd like!
Binding Effects to TikTok Gifts and Events
With Crowd Control connected to your TikTok LIVE, your viewers will be able to trigger effects with gifts, likes, follows, and shares. Bind up to 3 effects to gifts for free, 12 using Pro ($7.99/m), and unlimited with Crowd Control Max ($19.99). Click here to learn more about Crowd Control Pro and Max.
For example, a single Rose gift could spawn in a random bed of flowers on your Minecraft Server. Or, 100 Likes could spawn in an Ender Dragon.
Crowd Control can generate a list of effects for you, or you can build your own. These effects will use any of the effect options you have set elsewhere in the Effect Manager: cooldowns, sound effects, and integrations.

Pulsoid offers widgets that display your heart rate on stream. By connecting it to Crowd Control, you can bind effects directly to your current heart rate.
Now when your heart rate moves above or below the BPM, for the time you set, the effect will trigger! It will be able to trigger again after the cooldown. Set up up multiple effects for MAX FUN!
Saving your Customizations
Import & Export
If you want to set a backup of your customizations, use the export function in the bottom left of the Effect Manager. You can import the same file later!
Presets
Available under each Effect Source are Presets! These are built-in, unlimited variants of your effect "menus." You could save presets like "Positive," "Negative," "Chaos," "Price Sale," or whatever else you can think of!
Add Overlays to your Stream
Head over to the Overlay & Assets page of the app to set up extra widgets for your stream.
The Effect Overlay shows exactly which effects are currently active. Copy the Overlay URL to a Browser Source, or simply drag it over to your streaming software.
We recommend setting the Effect Overlay to the same resolution and size as your stream's gameplay, or wherever the Crowd Control action is happening.
Currently there are two Effect Overlay options: new and legacy. Our new overlay has been updated to Crowd Control's modern branding, and is a work in progress. For even more customization options, the legacy overlay is still available.
Crowd Control also provides Goal Overlays! Set goals for Revenue, Coins, Effects, Unique Users, or even your Progress towards Crowd Control Partner!
For each goal you can set a title, starting amount, and end amount. There are additional settings for whether or not the goal will reset on completion, and you can even trigger an effect when the goal is met.
There are also multiple Overlay formats. There's a Progress Amount for a "Ticker" style overlay, a Progress Bar that will display your current and goal amounts, and lastly a percentage Progress Bar.
Coin Goals
Coin Goals are able to track Bonus Coins, Bits Paid Coins, and Global Paid Coins.
Revenue Goals
Revenue Goals are able to track Bits Paid Coins, Global Paid Coins, Twitch Subs, and even TikTok Diamonds.
Effect Goals
Effect Goals are able to track effects sent from each Coins type, as well as Twitch Channel Rewards, TikTok Interactions, and TikTok Gifts.
Unique Users
Unique User Goals have the same options as Effect Goals, but will instead track how many unique users in your community have sent each option.
Partner Progress Goals
The Partner Progress Goal will cycle between each of the 3 Partner Application requirements: Separate Monetized Sessions, Unique Users, and Gross Revenue.
TikTok Gifts Overlay
To display which gifts will send which effects, you will want to add the TikTok Gifts Overlay to a browser source in your streaming software.
You can customize the colors, layout, sizing, and rotation of the gifts overlay.
(OPTIONAL) Explore other Settings
Options Page
Under Config, the Coins page hosts a variety of adjustments you can make. You can also see your community's coin stats, and reset bonus coins on your channel.
Personal Effect Overlay
The Personal Effect Overlay can be found both in the top right of the Live Page (Display Icon), or on the Options page of the app.
If you're playing a full-screen game and only have one monitor, you may want to enable the Personal Effect Overlay. This enables the same Effect Overlay your viewers see on stream to appear over top your actual monitor: giving you an extra visual on what's going on.
If you use Display Capture to put your footage in your streaming software, be sure you dont enable both the personal and browser source effect overlays, or else you'll be seeing double!
Notifications
In addition to linking Sound Effects directly to effects, you can also set global sound notifications for Effect Triggers, Global Coin Purchases, and Channel Coin Purchases (Coins purchased via the Twitch Extension).
File Paths
All of your linked Game and Emulator Paths will be provided here. You can install or uninstall our other emulators, unlink games, and open their location in file explorer.
Coin Settings
Under Config, the Coins page hosts a variety of adjustments you can make. You can also see your community's coin stats, and reset bonus coins on your channel.
Once per Session, your viewers can claim up to 50 Free Coins. You can set this number anywhere between 0 and 50!
With Crowd Control Pro, you can give up to 250 Free Coins and also customize who is able to redeem free coins and how often they can claim them.
Twitch Bonus Coins
Twitch users who are monetized can also provide a monthly allowance of Free Coins for their subscribers. By default, Tier 1 Subs get 100 Coins, Tier 2 gets 250, and Tier 3 gets 500.
Twitch Channel Points can be used to redeem coins at a ratio of 100 Channel Points to 1 Coin.
With Crowd Control Pro, these amounts and conversion rates can be adjusted, as well as limited.
In Partnership with Tiltify, Crowd Control Sessions can be connected directly to fundraisers for organizations that have opted-in to Crowd Control support.
To link your supported Tiltify Campaign, navigate to the "Setup" page of Tiltify's Campaign Dashboard. From there, go to "Information," and copy the Campaign ID.
Paste this ID into the box on the Charity page of the Crowd Control app, under config, and hit enter. You're ready to go!
When your viewers go to purchase coins, in both the Twitch Extension and on your Interact Link, there will instead be an option to Donate to your Tiltify Campaign.
Clicking this button opens up a unique Tiltify Donation page specifically for this purchase. Once your viewer has donated, the donation will be matched with coins and added to their balance.
If viewers want Coins in return for their Donation, they must not make any modifications, navigate to any other pages, or donate outside of Crowd Control. We can only provide coins to donations made through the link provided directly to viewers.
Get Ready to Go Live
Start your Session
Back to the Live page of the app, if you haven't finished your provided Game Setup steps, be sure to walk through each one until each step is checkmarked.
Some games may have further steps to follow to Start a Session, be sure to refer to the Game Guide or contact Support in our Discord for more information.
Now, go ahead and click the Start Session Button.
Test your Effects
Before going over the Session Dashboard, you should test to be sure your chosen effects are working correctly in the game.
The "Test Effects" section will have opened up. letting you quickly send tests. If you aren't able to interact with the Crowd Control app while inside the game, there are a couple options:
Open the Effect Manager, find an effect you'd like to test, hold the Shift Key, and click the Play Button on the fire right. This will send the effect after waiting for 5 seconds. In this time, you can switch back to the game.
Effects can be sent for free by logging in to your own Interact Link. Open it up on a separate device like a laptop, tablet, or phone, then just send an effect!
Troubleshooting
If an effect doesn't seem to be sending, or is being marked as "queued" there are a couple things you can check.
Game State
In the top left of your Session Dashboard, you may a flickering box. When effects are able to be sent, it will say "READY." If the game is currently paused, or in a specific location where effects cannot be sent, it will say "PENDING."
Try moving somewhere else in your game, or checking the Game Guide to see if there are any notes on where effects may not be active.
Sometimes, only specific effects cannot be sent. Usually, hovering the effect will give you a detailed description on where you must be in order to send the effect.
In games such as MECCHA CHAMELEON, effects can't be sent while in the server's lobby, and will show as unavailable. Simply start the game, and everything will automatically update.
Retrace Steps
Crowd Control's connection to your game often depends on the steps being followed in the correct order. Be sure to launch the game from the Crowd Control app unless otherwise stated!
Your Session Dashboard
Everything you should need to access during your stream can be found right here in the Session Dashboard.
At the top, you can see the duration of your session, number of effects sent, how many users have interacted, and how many paid coins have been used (revenue).
Below are Effects being sent. As shown, Coin Transactions are yellow, Queued Effects green, and triggered effects Blue.
The user's Platform and role, as well as some other information, may be displayed in front of their name.
On the right, users can be added as Mods or Editors. Mods are able to use the Interact Link or Twitch Extension's Activity Page to ban users. You can also ban users yourself here!
Editors, reserved to Crowd Control Pro and Max Users, are able to refund effects, retry effects, and even edit your effect pricing and other settings: directly from the Interact Link.
Lastly, Disrupt Packs can be quickly enabled or disabled from the bottom of the Session Dashboard.
Share your Interact Link
To send effects using coins purchased from Stripe or PayPal, be sure to provide your Interact Link somewhere your community can easily access.
For users on Twitch, your Interact Link will automatically be pinned to the top of your chat. The Twitch Extension will also be automatically enabled when the session has been started.
We also recommend adding a Crowd Control Panel to your about section! We provide our own for you to use on the Overlays & Assets page.
Depending on your streaming platform, you can pin it to your chat, provide it in the stream's description, or include it in a link tree on your profile. Crowd Control usernames also make the Interact Link more accessible by working with our URL shortener (e.g. cctrl.cc/@jaku)
Time to Go Live!
Connect to TikTok
For TikTok effects to work, you must establish a connections between Crowd Control and TikTok.
Once you have started your LIVE, click the "Connect" button in your Session Dashboard.
After the connection has been made, you can test Gift Interactions from the Effect Manager. Navigate to the TikTok section, and click the test button to simulate that specific Gift being sent to your LIVE.
Depending on your Internet Connection to TikTok's own servers, you may experience the Connection state changing.
Crowd Control will automatically attempt to reconnect to TikTok, but sometimes you may need to click Connect more than once.
If the connection fails more than a few times, Crowd Control will attempt to use an alternate connection method.
Unfortunately, TikTok does not provide an official API for Crowd Control to hook into, so this may occur from time to time. We are always doing our research on ways to improve the system, and make things easier for our users.
Ready to Start?
If you've started your session, tested your effects, and shared your Interact Link, you're ready for your first Crowd Control stream!
Be sure to inform your community how everything works and encourage them to interact with the stream. We've found that streamers who consistently remind chat about Crowd Control see more success in getting their viewers to try it out for themselves.
If any effects are giving you a hard time and you want to change its price or cooldown, simply open up the Effect Manager or Interact Link and make your changes.
After your Session
Once you've ended your first session, you'll be prompted to leave it a rating!
The Crowd Control Team reads every single rating we receive: we are very serious about responding to your feedback, so please let us know if you experienced any issues.
We are also very serious about running Support in our Discord. Even if you're live, don't hesitate to reach out to the team and we will do our best to resolve your issue.

Set your Crowd Control Username
Your username will be used to create your Crowd Control Interact Link. This is where your community can send effects using Coins, purchased using Stripe or PayPal.
Install the Twitch Extension
In addition to your Interact Link, viewers can also send effects from the Crowd Control Twitch Extension. There, Coins are exchanged for using Twitch Bits.

Next Steps
Crowd Control has integrated support for over 250+ titles across Retro, PC, and even Tabletop games. Which one will you start with?
In the navigation sidebar, select the Game Library. You can filter our list of games by type of integration, platform, and more.
Once you've selected a game, head to the next step.
Prepare your game for Crowd Control
Once you've selected a game, you will be sent back to the Live page of the app. You'll notice various setup requirements on the side: don't worry! Each game comes with a step-by-step Setup Guide, and, in most cases, setup is as simple as clicking a button.
You may be asked to select the folder containing the game's .exe file, or maybe to select a rom. Afterwards, you may need to install a Mod or Emulator to play your game. Once everything is lit up green or labeled with a checkmark you will have finished connecting Crowd Control to your game!
At this point, you could technically begin using Crowd Control with your commnity! BUT, we suggest you take a look at yyour game's available interactions. Customizing your effects to fit your community is very important for keeping them engaged.
Before heading into the Effect Manager, let's take a look at Crowd Control Disrupts.
Crowd Control Disrupts are viewer interactions that appear on your screen or affect things outside of games. Examples include jumpscares, interactive puzzles, games of chance, etc.
Select the Disrupts page in the navigation sidebar. On your first entry, you will be prompted to set up the Disrupts Monitor Overlay. If you need to access this menu again, just click the information icon near the top of the page.
First, you will be asked to select which monitor you want to see your Disrupts on. Next, you can test the overlay to be sure it is working. Follow the next few steps to get them displayed inside of your streaming software. The in-app guide will walk you through one thing at a time, with videos included for guidance.
Once you've completed setup, head back to the Disrupts page of the app.
About Disrupt Packs
The Crowd Control Team has created a few theme-based Disrupt Packs for you to use!
Hover over a Disrupt Pack and click the edit button to view the interactions. Each disrupt is toggleable, and can be previewed with the play button on the right-hand side of the page.
An Important Note: when first using Disrupts, it may take them a minute to load! If you hit play and nothing is happening, give your internet a moment to fully load the file. Once they have been played once and cached, their performance should be instant.
We will go over each setting within this Disrupt Pack in Part 3 of this setup. For now, did you know you can even create your own Disrupts?
Click "Create New" in the top-right of the Disrupts page. This will create a new Disrupt pack for you to populate with your own memes, sounds, jumpscares, bot interactions and more!
Click "Add New" to open the Disrupts Editor. There are many different types of Disrupts, with more always in the works by our development team. Each type comes with a host of customization options for you to explore!
Once you've created all your disrupts, you can head back to the Disrupts page.
Enabling Disrupt Packs
Once you've decided which disrupt packs you're interested in, simply click the switch to enable them! This will add each pack's active disrupts to your list of interactions.
You can also enable and disable disrupt packs from the Live page.
Customizing your Interactions
Open up the Effect Manager
On the Live page of the app, you can find the Effect Manager button near the bottom.
The effect manager contains all of your available interactions along with their Price (in Coins), Duration, Price Scaling Rate & Duration, and both Global or Individual Cooldowns.
Your enabled disrupts will also be here: any customization your make to them here will be specific to the game you currently have selected. To set default settings for each disrupt, edit them from the Disrupts page of the app.
You'll notice a few options in the sidebar as well. These are your Effect Sources. Effects can be sent from your Interact Link or Twitch Extension, via Twitch or TikTok Events, and more. We will cover this later.
Pricing
100 Coins = 1 USD. Every community uses Crowd Control a bit differently. Based on your community size chosen during onboarding, we may have set your default prices differently. Still, it is highly recommended you go through the effect list and consider how your community will like to use each effect, or whether or not you like that effect.
Generally, folks price up negative effects like Kill Player, while leaving positive effects like Heal Player a bit lower.
Your viewers can also pool their coins together to trigger an effect, if you've not disabled it, and effects can also be reserved for Paid Coins only (Coins exchanged for using Bits, Stripe, or PayPal). These settings are found under the effect's settings cog on the right.
Duration
Some effects, like Inverted Controls or Player Size, are timed! These can be adjusted by Crowd Control Pro or Max Users.
Price Scaling Rate
Price scaling increases the cost of an effect when it is triggered. An effect set to 100% scaling will double in cost for each purchase.
Price Scaling Duration
Of course, you likely don't want your effects prices to be permanently increased! A 5 Minute Scaling Duration means an effect's price will gradually return to normal over 5 minutes.
Global Cooldown
Global Cooldown is simply the time all users must wait to send an effect a second time. This is great for effects you don't want being sent too often.
Individual Cooldown
Likewise, Individual Cooldowns help prevent 1 user from spamming effects.
About Effect Add-Ons, Settings, and Integrations
Outside the main effect properties, each effect has a settings button on the right side of the Effect Manager.
A shortcut to settings that you've enabled will be displayed in the title bar of each effect. If you've enabled any integrations, their logos will also be here. Click them to create dynamic effects!
Sound Effects
Sound effects you've enabled will play when the effect is sent. You can upload multiple sounds for random variation, select from previously uploaded sounds, and limit how often the sound can activate.
If you've already explored the rest of the app and have enabled a Global Effect notifcation, you can also disable it here.
"Paid Only" Effects
If you would prefer effects not be accessible with Free Coins, you can set them to Paid Coins Only. Paid coins include those exchanged from Twitch Bits, purchased using Stripe or PayPal, or in exchange for a donation to charity.
In your Interact Link, Paid Only effects will be highlighted using a separate color.
Effect Pooling
By default, your viewers can pool their coins together to trigger effects. Should you wish to disable this for any given effect, you can disable them here.
If you want to disable pooling entirely, try selecting every effect using Ctrl + A, or selecting multiple effects using Ctrl + Click, or Ctrl + Shift. Settings changed will apply to every currently selected effect.
Attached Effects
When you attach a set of effects to an effect like, "Spawn Dragon," Spawn Dragon, when triggered, will then also trigger a random effect from your selected set.
Imagine you're planning a Minecraft Crowd Control Stream. When a Wither is spawned in, you also want to dig a hole beneath the player and trigger a random jumpscare disrupt.
Under Spawn Wither, you would add in Set 1 the "Dig Hole" effect. In Set 2, you would select whichever jumpscares you prefer.
Effects with attachments do not change in price.
Binding Effects to Twitch Channel Rewards
Under the Channel Rewards menu of the Effect Manager, you can create custom Twitch Channel Rewards that send Crowd Control effects.
For free you can set up 3, with Pro 12, and with Max up to 50
(Twitch limits users to 50 channel rewards. If you have met the limit, Crowd Control will be unable to add the effect to your list).
Binding Effects to Twitch Events
In addition to Channel Rewards, Max users are able to bind effects to other Twitch Events like subs, gift subs, raids, and follows!
You can modify the sub tiers, amount of gifts, or raiding viewers needed for the effect to trigger. Set as many as you'd like!
Binding Effects to TikTok Gifts and Events
With Crowd Control connected to your TikTok LIVE, your viewers will be able to trigger effects with gifts, likes, follows, and shares. Bind up to 3 effects to gifts for free, 12 using Pro ($7.99/m), and unlimited with Crowd Control Max ($19.99). Click here to learn more about Crowd Control Pro and Max.
For example, a single Rose gift could spawn in a random bed of flowers on your Minecraft Server. Or, 100 Likes could spawn in an Ender Dragon.
Crowd Control can generate a list of effects for you, or you can build your own. These effects will use any of the effect options you have set elsewhere in the Effect Manager: cooldowns, sound effects, and integrations.

Pulsoid offers widgets that display your heart rate on stream. By connecting it to Crowd Control, you can bind effects directly to your current heart rate.
Now when your heart rate moves above or below the BPM, for the time you set, the effect will trigger! It will be able to trigger again after the cooldown. Set up up multiple effects for MAX FUN!
Saving your Customizations
Import & Export
If you want to set a backup of your customizations, use the export function in the bottom left of the Effect Manager. You can import the same file later!
Presets
Available under each Effect Source are Presets! These are built-in, unlimited variants of your effect "menus." You could save presets like "Positive," "Negative," "Chaos," "Price Sale," or whatever else you can think of!
Add Overlays to your Stream
Head over to the Overlay & Assets page of the app to set up extra widgets for your stream.
The Effect Overlay shows exactly which effects are currently active. Copy the Overlay URL to a Browser Source, or simply drag it over to your streaming software.
We recommend setting the Effect Overlay to the same resolution and size as your stream's gameplay, or wherever the Crowd Control action is happening.
Currently there are two Effect Overlay options: new and legacy. Our new overlay has been updated to Crowd Control's modern branding, and is a work in progress. For even more customization options, the legacy overlay is still available.
Crowd Control also provides Goal Overlays! Set goals for Revenue, Coins, Effects, Unique Users, or even your Progress towards Crowd Control Partner!
For each goal you can set a title, starting amount, and end amount. There are additional settings for whether or not the goal will reset on completion, and you can even trigger an effect when the goal is met.
There are also multiple Overlay formats. There's a Progress Amount for a "Ticker" style overlay, a Progress Bar that will display your current and goal amounts, and lastly a percentage Progress Bar.
Coin Goals
Coin Goals are able to track Bonus Coins, Bits Paid Coins, and Global Paid Coins.
Revenue Goals
Revenue Goals are able to track Bits Paid Coins, Global Paid Coins, Twitch Subs, and even TikTok Diamonds.
Effect Goals
Effect Goals are able to track effects sent from each Coins type, as well as Twitch Channel Rewards, TikTok Interactions, and TikTok Gifts.
Unique Users
Unique User Goals have the same options as Effect Goals, but will instead track how many unique users in your community have sent each option.
Partner Progress Goals
The Partner Progress Goal will cycle between each of the 3 Partner Application requirements: Separate Monetized Sessions, Unique Users, and Gross Revenue.
TikTok Gifts Overlay
To display which gifts will send which effects, you will want to add the TikTok Gifts Overlay to a browser source in your streaming software.
You can customize the colors, layout, sizing, and rotation of the gifts overlay.
(OPTIONAL) Explore other Settings
Options Page
Under Config, the Coins page hosts a variety of adjustments you can make. You can also see your community's coin stats, and reset bonus coins on your channel.
Personal Effect Overlay
The Personal Effect Overlay can be found both in the top right of the Live Page (Display Icon), or on the Options page of the app.
If you're playing a full-screen game and only have one monitor, you may want to enable the Personal Effect Overlay. This enables the same Effect Overlay your viewers see on stream to appear over top your actual monitor: giving you an extra visual on what's going on.
If you use Display Capture to put your footage in your streaming software, be sure you dont enable both the personal and browser source effect overlays, or else you'll be seeing double!
Notifications
In addition to linking Sound Effects directly to effects, you can also set global sound notifications for Effect Triggers, Global Coin Purchases, and Channel Coin Purchases (Coins purchased via the Twitch Extension).
File Paths
All of your linked Game and Emulator Paths will be provided here. You can install or uninstall our other emulators, unlink games, and open their location in file explorer.
Coin Settings
Under Config, the Coins page hosts a variety of adjustments you can make. You can also see your community's coin stats, and reset bonus coins on your channel.
Once per Session, your viewers can claim up to 50 Free Coins. You can set this number anywhere between 0 and 50!
With Crowd Control Pro, you can give up to 250 Free Coins and also customize who is able to redeem free coins and how often they can claim them.
Twitch Bonus Coins
Twitch users who are monetized can also provide a monthly allowance of Free Coins for their subscribers. By default, Tier 1 Subs get 100 Coins, Tier 2 gets 250, and Tier 3 gets 500.
Twitch Channel Points can be used to redeem coins at a ratio of 100 Channel Points to 1 Coin.
With Crowd Control Pro, these amounts and conversion rates can be adjusted, as well as limited.
In Partnership with Tiltify, Crowd Control Sessions can be connected directly to fundraisers for organizations that have opted-in to Crowd Control support.
To link your supported Tiltify Campaign, navigate to the "Setup" page of Tiltify's Campaign Dashboard. From there, go to "Information," and copy the Campaign ID.
Paste this ID into the box on the Charity page of the Crowd Control app, under config, and hit enter. You're ready to go!
When your viewers go to purchase coins, in both the Twitch Extension and on your Interact Link, there will instead be an option to Donate to your Tiltify Campaign.
Clicking this button opens up a unique Tiltify Donation page specifically for this purchase. Once your viewer has donated, the donation will be matched with coins and added to their balance.
If viewers want Coins in return for their Donation, they must not make any modifications, navigate to any other pages, or donate outside of Crowd Control. We can only provide coins to donations made through the link provided directly to viewers.
Get Ready to Go Live
Start your Session
Back to the Live page of the app, if you haven't finished your provided Game Setup steps, be sure to walk through each one until each step is checkmarked.
Some games may have further steps to follow to Start a Session, be sure to refer to the Game Guide or contact Support in our Discord for more information.
Now, go ahead and click the Start Session Button.
Test your Effects
Before going over the Session Dashboard, you should test to be sure your chosen effects are working correctly in the game.
The "Test Effects" section will have opened up. letting you quickly send tests. If you aren't able to interact with the Crowd Control app while inside the game, there are a couple options:
Open the Effect Manager, find an effect you'd like to test, hold the Shift Key, and click the Play Button on the fire right. This will send the effect after waiting for 5 seconds. In this time, you can switch back to the game.
Effects can be sent for free by logging in to your own Interact Link. Open it up on a separate device like a laptop, tablet, or phone, then just send an effect!
Troubleshooting
If an effect doesn't seem to be sending, or is being marked as "queued" there are a couple things you can check.
Game State
In the top left of your Session Dashboard, you may a flickering box. When effects are able to be sent, it will say "READY." If the game is currently paused, or in a specific location where effects cannot be sent, it will say "PENDING."
Try moving somewhere else in your game, or checking the Game Guide to see if there are any notes on where effects may not be active.
Sometimes, only specific effects cannot be sent. Usually, hovering the effect will give you a detailed description on where you must be in order to send the effect.
In games such as MECCHA CHAMELEON, effects can't be sent while in the server's lobby, and will show as unavailable. Simply start the game, and everything will automatically update.
Retrace Steps
Crowd Control's connection to your game often depends on the steps being followed in the correct order. Be sure to launch the game from the Crowd Control app unless otherwise stated!
Your Session Dashboard
Everything you should need to access during your stream can be found right here in the Session Dashboard.
At the top, you can see the duration of your session, number of effects sent, how many users have interacted, and how many paid coins have been used (revenue).
Below are Effects being sent. As shown, Coin Transactions are yellow, Queued Effects green, and triggered effects Blue.
The user's Platform and role, as well as some other information, may be displayed in front of their name.
On the right, users can be added as Mods or Editors. Mods are able to use the Interact Link or Twitch Extension's Activity Page to ban users. You can also ban users yourself here!
Editors, reserved to Crowd Control Pro and Max Users, are able to refund effects, retry effects, and even edit your effect pricing and other settings: directly from the Interact Link.
Lastly, Disrupt Packs can be quickly enabled or disabled from the bottom of the Session Dashboard.
Share your Interact Link
To send effects using coins purchased from Stripe or PayPal, be sure to provide your Interact Link somewhere your community can easily access.
For users on Twitch, your Interact Link will automatically be pinned to the top of your chat. The Twitch Extension will also be automatically enabled when the session has been started.
We also recommend adding a Crowd Control Panel to your about section! We provide our own for you to use on the Overlays & Assets page.
Depending on your streaming platform, you can pin it to your chat, provide it in the stream's description, or include it in a link tree on your profile. Crowd Control usernames also make the Interact Link more accessible by working with our URL shortener (e.g. cctrl.cc/@jaku)
Time to Go Live!
Connect to TikTok
For TikTok effects to work, you must establish a connections between Crowd Control and TikTok.
Once you have started your LIVE, click the "Connect" button in your Session Dashboard.
After the connection has been made, you can test Gift Interactions from the Effect Manager. Navigate to the TikTok section, and click the test button to simulate that specific Gift being sent to your LIVE.
Depending on your Internet Connection to TikTok's own servers, you may experience the Connection state changing.
Crowd Control will automatically attempt to reconnect to TikTok, but sometimes you may need to click Connect more than once.
If the connection fails more than a few times, Crowd Control will attempt to use an alternate connection method.
Unfortunately, TikTok does not provide an official API for Crowd Control to hook into, so this may occur from time to time. We are always doing our research on ways to improve the system, and make things easier for our users.
Ready to Start?
If you've started your session, tested your effects, and shared your Interact Link, you're ready for your first Crowd Control stream!
Be sure to inform your community how everything works and encourage them to interact with the stream. We've found that streamers who consistently remind chat about Crowd Control see more success in getting their viewers to try it out for themselves.
If any effects are giving you a hard time and you want to change its price or cooldown, simply open up the Effect Manager or Interact Link and make your changes.
After your Session
Once you've ended your first session, you'll be prompted to leave it a rating!
The Crowd Control Team reads every single rating we receive: we are very serious about responding to your feedback, so please let us know if you experienced any issues.
We are also very serious about running Support in our Discord. Even if you're live, don't hesitate to reach out to the team and we will do our best to resolve your issue.

Set your Crowd Control Username
Your username will be used to create your Crowd Control Interact Link. This is where your community can send effects using Coins, purchased using Stripe or PayPal.
Install the Twitch Extension
In addition to your Interact Link, viewers can also send effects from the Crowd Control Twitch Extension. There, Coins are exchanged for using Twitch Bits.

Next Steps
Crowd Control has integrated support for over 250+ titles across Retro, PC, and even Tabletop games. Which one will you start with?
In the navigation sidebar, select the Game Library. You can filter our list of games by type of integration, platform, and more.
Once you've selected a game, head to the next step.
Prepare your game for Crowd Control
Once you've selected a game, you will be sent back to the Live page of the app. You'll notice various setup requirements on the side: don't worry! Each game comes with a step-by-step Setup Guide, and, in most cases, setup is as simple as clicking a button.
You may be asked to select the folder containing the game's .exe file, or maybe to select a rom. Afterwards, you may need to install a Mod or Emulator to play your game. Once everything is lit up green or labeled with a checkmark you will have finished connecting Crowd Control to your game!
At this point, you could technically begin using Crowd Control with your commnity! BUT, we suggest you take a look at yyour game's available interactions. Customizing your effects to fit your community is very important for keeping them engaged.
Before heading into the Effect Manager, let's take a look at Crowd Control Disrupts.
Crowd Control Disrupts are viewer interactions that appear on your screen or affect things outside of games. Examples include jumpscares, interactive puzzles, games of chance, etc.
Select the Disrupts page in the navigation sidebar. On your first entry, you will be prompted to set up the Disrupts Monitor Overlay. If you need to access this menu again, just click the information icon near the top of the page.
First, you will be asked to select which monitor you want to see your Disrupts on. Next, you can test the overlay to be sure it is working. Follow the next few steps to get them displayed inside of your streaming software. The in-app guide will walk you through one thing at a time, with videos included for guidance.
Once you've completed setup, head back to the Disrupts page of the app.
About Disrupt Packs
The Crowd Control Team has created a few theme-based Disrupt Packs for you to use!
Hover over a Disrupt Pack and click the edit button to view the interactions. Each disrupt is toggleable, and can be previewed with the play button on the right-hand side of the page.
An Important Note: when first using Disrupts, it may take them a minute to load! If you hit play and nothing is happening, give your internet a moment to fully load the file. Once they have been played once and cached, their performance should be instant.
We will go over each setting within this Disrupt Pack in Part 3 of this setup. For now, did you know you can even create your own Disrupts?
Click "Create New" in the top-right of the Disrupts page. This will create a new Disrupt pack for you to populate with your own memes, sounds, jumpscares, bot interactions and more!
Click "Add New" to open the Disrupts Editor. There are many different types of Disrupts, with more always in the works by our development team. Each type comes with a host of customization options for you to explore!
Once you've created all your disrupts, you can head back to the Disrupts page.
Enabling Disrupt Packs
Once you've decided which disrupt packs you're interested in, simply click the switch to enable them! This will add each pack's active disrupts to your list of interactions.
You can also enable and disable disrupt packs from the Live page.
Customizing your Interactions
Open up the Effect Manager
On the Live page of the app, you can find the Effect Manager button near the bottom.
The effect manager contains all of your available interactions along with their Price (in Coins), Duration, Price Scaling Rate & Duration, and both Global or Individual Cooldowns.
Your enabled disrupts will also be here: any customization your make to them here will be specific to the game you currently have selected. To set default settings for each disrupt, edit them from the Disrupts page of the app.
You'll notice a few options in the sidebar as well. These are your Effect Sources. Effects can be sent from your Interact Link or Twitch Extension, via Twitch or TikTok Events, and more. We will cover this later.
Pricing
100 Coins = 1 USD. Every community uses Crowd Control a bit differently. Based on your community size chosen during onboarding, we may have set your default prices differently. Still, it is highly recommended you go through the effect list and consider how your community will like to use each effect, or whether or not you like that effect.
Generally, folks price up negative effects like Kill Player, while leaving positive effects like Heal Player a bit lower.
Your viewers can also pool their coins together to trigger an effect, if you've not disabled it, and effects can also be reserved for Paid Coins only (Coins exchanged for using Bits, Stripe, or PayPal). These settings are found under the effect's settings cog on the right.

Now when your heart rate moves above or below the BPM, for the time you set, the effect will trigger! It will be able to trigger again after the cooldown. Set up up multiple effects for MAX FUN!
Saving your Customizations
Import & Export
If you want to set a backup of your customizations, use the export function in the bottom left of the Effect Manager. You can import the same file later!
Presets
Available under each Effect Source are Presets! These are built-in, unlimited variants of your effect "menus." You could save presets like "Positive," "Negative," "Chaos," "Price Sale," or whatever else you can think of!
Add Overlays to your Stream
Head over to the Overlay & Assets page of the app to set up extra widgets for your stream.
The Effect Overlay shows exactly which effects are currently active. Copy the Overlay URL to a Browser Source, or simply drag it over to your streaming software.
We recommend setting the Effect Overlay to the same resolution and size as your stream's gameplay, or wherever the Crowd Control action is happening.
Currently there are two Effect Overlay options: new and legacy. Our new overlay has been updated to Crowd Control's modern branding, and is a work in progress. For even more customization options, the legacy overlay is still available.
Crowd Control also provides Goal Overlays! Set goals for Revenue, Coins, Effects, Unique Users, or even your Progress towards Crowd Control Partner!
For each goal you can set a title, starting amount, and end amount. There are additional settings for whether or not the goal will reset on completion, and you can even trigger an effect when the goal is met.
There are also multiple Overlay formats. There's a Progress Amount for a "Ticker" style overlay, a Progress Bar that will display your current and goal amounts, and lastly a percentage Progress Bar.
Coin Goals
Coin Goals are able to track Bonus Coins, Bits Paid Coins, and Global Paid Coins.
Revenue Goals
Revenue Goals are able to track Bits Paid Coins, Global Paid Coins, Twitch Subs, and even TikTok Diamonds.
Effect Goals
Effect Goals are able to track effects sent from each Coins type, as well as Twitch Channel Rewards, TikTok Interactions, and TikTok Gifts.
Unique Users
Unique User Goals have the same options as Effect Goals, but will instead track how many unique users in your community have sent each option.
Partner Progress Goals
The Partner Progress Goal will cycle between each of the 3 Partner Application requirements: Separate Monetized Sessions, Unique Users, and Gross Revenue.
TikTok Gifts Overlay
To display which gifts will send which effects, you will want to add the TikTok Gifts Overlay to a browser source in your streaming software.
You can customize the colors, layout, sizing, and rotation of the gifts overlay.

Options Page
Under Config, the Coins page hosts a variety of adjustments you can make. You can also see your community's coin stats, and reset bonus coins on your channel.
Personal Effect Overlay
The Personal Effect Overlay can be found both in the top right of the Live Page (Display Icon), or on the Options page of the app.
If you're playing a full-screen game and only have one monitor, you may want to enable the Personal Effect Overlay. This enables the same Effect Overlay your viewers see on stream to appear over top your actual monitor: giving you an extra visual on what's going on.
If you use Display Capture to put your footage in your streaming software, be sure you dont enable both the personal and browser source effect overlays, or else you'll be seeing double!
Notifications
In addition to linking Sound Effects directly to effects, you can also set global sound notifications for Effect Triggers, Global Coin Purchases, and Channel Coin Purchases (Coins purchased via the Twitch Extension).
File Paths
All of your linked Game and Emulator Paths will be provided here. You can install or uninstall our other emulators, unlink games, and open their location in file explorer.
Coin Settings
Under Config, the Coins page hosts a variety of adjustments you can make. You can also see your community's coin stats, and reset bonus coins on your channel.
Once per Session, your viewers can claim up to 50 Free Coins. You can set this number anywhere between 0 and 50!
With Crowd Control Pro, you can give up to 250 Free Coins and also customize who is able to redeem free coins and how often they can claim them.
Twitch Bonus Coins
Twitch users who are monetized can also provide a monthly allowance of Free Coins for their subscribers. By default, Tier 1 Subs get 100 Coins, Tier 2 gets 250, and Tier 3 gets 500.
Twitch Channel Points can be used to redeem coins at a ratio of 100 Channel Points to 1 Coin.
With Crowd Control Pro, these amounts and conversion rates can be adjusted, as well as limited.
In Partnership with Tiltify, Crowd Control Sessions can be connected directly to fundraisers for organizations that have opted-in to Crowd Control support.
To link your supported Tiltify Campaign, navigate to the "Setup" page of Tiltify's Campaign Dashboard. From there, go to "Information," and copy the Campaign ID.
Paste this ID into the box on the Charity page of the Crowd Control app, under config, and hit enter. You're ready to go!
When your viewers go to purchase coins, in both the Twitch Extension and on your Interact Link, there will instead be an option to Donate to your Tiltify Campaign.
Clicking this button opens up a unique Tiltify Donation page specifically for this purchase. Once your viewer has donated, the donation will be matched with coins and added to their balance.
If viewers want Coins in return for their Donation, they must not make any modifications, navigate to any other pages, or donate outside of Crowd Control. We can only provide coins to donations made through the link provided directly to viewers.
Get Ready to Go Live
Start your Session
Back to the Live page of the app, if you haven't finished your provided Game Setup steps, be sure to walk through each one until each step is checkmarked.
Some games may have further steps to follow to Start a Session, be sure to refer to the Game Guide or contact Support in our Discord for more information.
Now, go ahead and click the Start Session Button.
Test your Effects
Before going over the Session Dashboard, you should test to be sure your chosen effects are working correctly in the game.
The "Test Effects" section will have opened up. letting you quickly send tests. If you aren't able to interact with the Crowd Control app while inside the game, there are a couple options:
Open the Effect Manager, find an effect you'd like to test, hold the Shift Key, and click the Play Button on the fire right. This will send the effect after waiting for 5 seconds. In this time, you can switch back to the game.
Effects can be sent for free by logging in to your own Interact Link. Open it up on a separate device like a laptop, tablet, or phone, then just send an effect!
Troubleshooting
If an effect doesn't seem to be sending, or is being marked as "queued" there are a couple things you can check.
Game State
In the top left of your Session Dashboard, you may a flickering box. When effects are able to be sent, it will say "READY." If the game is currently paused, or in a specific location where effects cannot be sent, it will say "PENDING."
Try moving somewhere else in your game, or checking the Game Guide to see if there are any notes on where effects may not be active.
Sometimes, only specific effects cannot be sent. Usually, hovering the effect will give you a detailed description on where you must be in order to send the effect.
In games such as MECCHA CHAMELEON, effects can't be sent while in the server's lobby, and will show as unavailable. Simply start the game, and everything will automatically update.
Retrace Steps
Crowd Control's connection to your game often depends on the steps being followed in the correct order. Be sure to launch the game from the Crowd Control app unless otherwise stated!
Your Session Dashboard
Everything you should need to access during your stream can be found right here in the Session Dashboard.
At the top, you can see the duration of your session, number of effects sent, how many users have interacted, and how many paid coins have been used (revenue).
Below are Effects being sent. As shown, Coin Transactions are yellow, Queued Effects green, and triggered effects Blue.
The user's Platform and role, as well as some other information, may be displayed in front of their name.
On the right, users can be added as Mods or Editors. Mods are able to use the Interact Link or Twitch Extension's Activity Page to ban users. You can also ban users yourself here!
Editors, reserved to Crowd Control Pro and Max Users, are able to refund effects, retry effects, and even edit your effect pricing and other settings: directly from the Interact Link.
Lastly, Disrupt Packs can be quickly enabled or disabled from the bottom of the Session Dashboard.
Share your Interact Link
To send effects using coins purchased from Stripe or PayPal, be sure to provide your Interact Link somewhere your community can easily access.
For users on Twitch, your Interact Link will automatically be pinned to the top of your chat. The Twitch Extension will also be automatically enabled when the session has been started.
We also recommend adding a Crowd Control Panel to your about section! We provide our own for you to use on the Overlays & Assets page.
Depending on your streaming platform, you can pin it to your chat, provide it in the stream's description, or include it in a link tree on your profile. Crowd Control usernames also make the Interact Link more accessible by working with our URL shortener (e.g. cctrl.cc/@jaku)
Time to Go Live!
Connect to TikTok
For TikTok effects to work, you must establish a connections between Crowd Control and TikTok.
Once you have started your LIVE, click the "Connect" button in your Session Dashboard.
After the connection has been made, you can test Gift Interactions from the Effect Manager. Navigate to the TikTok section, and click the test button to simulate that specific Gift being sent to your LIVE.
Depending on your Internet Connection to TikTok's own servers, you may experience the Connection state changing.
Crowd Control will automatically attempt to reconnect to TikTok, but sometimes you may need to click Connect more than once.
If the connection fails more than a few times, Crowd Control will attempt to use an alternate connection method.
Unfortunately, TikTok does not provide an official API for Crowd Control to hook into, so this may occur from time to time. We are always doing our research on ways to improve the system, and make things easier for our users.
Ready to Start?
If you've started your session, tested your effects, and shared your Interact Link, you're ready for your first Crowd Control stream!
Be sure to inform your community how everything works and encourage them to interact with the stream. We've found that streamers who consistently remind chat about Crowd Control see more success in getting their viewers to try it out for themselves.
If any effects are giving you a hard time and you want to change its price or cooldown, simply open up the Effect Manager or Interact Link and make your changes.
After your Session
Once you've ended your first session, you'll be prompted to leave it a rating!
The Crowd Control Team reads every single rating we receive: we are very serious about responding to your feedback, so please let us know if you experienced any issues.
We are also very serious about running Support in our Discord. Even if you're live, don't hesitate to reach out to the team and we will do our best to resolve your issue.
